Oslo tem o custo de vida mais alto do mundo
OSLO is the priciest city in the world to live in according to the Economist Intelligence Unit, a sister company to The Economist. In its latest twice-yearly index of over 130 cities, in which 160 items are assessed, Norway’s capital has been the costliest since 2005, when it toppled Tokyo from the top spot. European cities dominate the list, reflecting the weakness of the dollar. New York is still the most expensive city outside of Europe or Asia, but it has slipped from 28th to 39th in a year. Amazon vende pelo celular
Amazon TextBuyIt, which launched late Tuesday, lets people text the name of a product, its description or its UPC or ISBN to 262966 (that’s “Amazon” on the keypad) from anywhere their cell phones work – including from inside physical stores.
If Amazon stocks matching items, the service returns two results at a time. Shoppers can immediately buy one of the first two the selections by texting back the number “1″ or “2,” or they can ask for more by texting the letter “M.” (mais aqui e aqui)
Como me afeta: Eu já ouço falar faz um tempo do “fim do e-mail”. Ao menos para uso pessoal, ele foi totalmente ultrapassado por SMS e sites de relacionamento tipo Orkut e Facebook. Agora a Amazon está oferecendo venda por SMS, apostando na força dos dispositívos portáteis como forma de acesso a Internet… Parece ser a tendência. PC pra que?
Apple: Maior vendedor de música nos EUA
Over the past few years, we have watched Apple climb the music sales chart courtesy of the iTunes. Last month we learned that Apple passed Best Buy to become the number two retailer in the the US. Como me afeta: Com o início da comercialização de iPhones no Brasil pela Vivo, é apenas uma questão de tempo para o iTunes estar no Brasil, dai, vai ser um pulo para tomar conta do mercado também. É impressionante… Todos os fundamentos dizem que a Apple devia se dar mal com as práticas dela (software fechado, musica com DRM), mas ela continua crescendo. Certamente uma das empresas mais interessantes da atualidade.
